So here is the story guys...please give your players and parents "heads-up"
and PLEASE thank them for their cooperation.
Hobbs arena is under major renovation. We were told that the major part
of the project would be completed by October 1st. They informed us on Wednesday that
the project is running behind schedule.
With that in mind...
- Parking and the entrance to the rink are in the back of the facility.
- There is limited parking back there in the lot area, additional parking is
available on the street to the North and East of the building. Areas of the
front parking lot are open, but you would still need to enter in the back.
- Hobbs has no concessions at this time, only vending machines for
soda, water, candy, chips.
- Bathrooms are also not available, outdoor temporary toilet facilities are
located near the entrance in the back. Temporary LR's are in place for teams,
and we will be using additional areas with the amount of teams here this
weekend.
- There are no working phones/fax machines or copy machines.
What Hobbs has is a good ice sheet, working scoreboard, and PA system
and bleacher
seats for spectators. It is pretty tough going right now, the
Hobbs management team appreciates our cooperation and
understanding.
Team Wisconsin hopes that we all can work together to make this a great
weekend of hockey.
